About Holy Trinity Cathedral
Holy Trinity Cathedral was designed by renowned architect, Louis H. Sullivan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 and designated an official City of Chicago Landmark in 1979. It’s been named one of Chicago’s Most Interesting Churches by CBS 2 Chicago and included in Chicago Magazine’s Insider’s Guide to Ukrainian Village: 15 Great Things to Do.

The Cathedral is currently closed to public tours in accordance with the COVID-19 stay at home order. We will post future public tour dates & times when available. At this time we are still planning to participate in Open House Chicago 2020 on October 17 & 18.

The Orthodox Worship Space
The Church has been likened to a great ship bearing men through a violent storm to the safety of the Kingdom of Heaven. The main part of the church building is called the Nave, which comes from the Latin word for ship, navis.
